Anthology presents two concerts to benefit Carl Evans Jr., the Martin
Luther King Jr. Day Jazz Benefit Concerts for Carl Evans Jr., on Sunday
January 20, 2008. Mr. Evans, has been a founding member of the Grammy
nominated band Fattburger, is a beloved and highly respected member of
San Diego's jazz community for over 30 years and has sat in on piano
regularly with the Anthology House Band.

Mr. Evans recently underwent surgery in his ongoing
battle against Diabetes. The concerts are to help offset medical
expenses and future care for Evans.

The benefit concert is a combined effort of
Anthology, San Diego's acclaimed new live music venue, and 16 of Mr.
Evans music-industry friends and colleagues who have signed up to
perform at the benefit. The concerts will highlight the evolution of
jazz, from mainstream jazz in the first show to contemporary jazz in
the second.

Headlining the events will be internationally
acclaimed saxophone artist Charles McPherson, super bass man Nathan
East, leading jazz and Latin trumpeter Brian Lynch, recording artist
trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos, plus many other notable jazz musicians.
